St. Mary’s Catholic School Advisory Board
Welcome to a wonderful new school year. I am happy to introduce myself to you all as the newly elected president of the St. Mary’s Catholic School Advisory Board. For those of you who may not already know, a task force was formed over the summer to consolidate St.Mary’s School Advisory Council and the Home & School Committee into one group. The change was made to promote efficiencies, and to avoid duplication of work across both groups. I would like to take the opportunity to thank all past members of both groups for all their hard work. They have definitely set the bar high. We look forward to making them all proud.
The newly formed Advisory Board has been called to work closely with the Pastor, Principal and Assistant Principle of the school for the purpose of promoting and supporting quality Catholic education. The following are the new members of the 2010-2011 St. Mary’s Catholic School Advisory Board.

As a part of the restructuring, the Board has formed five new committees; Administrative, Fundraising, Hospitality, Social Events, and Volunteer. The goal is for each committee to increase parent involvement in a number of areas. Each Board member has been assigned to chair/co-chair a committee. The committee chairs will be contacting parents who submitted their forms at registration to volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering, please feel free to contact me or any of the Board members directly.
The Advisory Board meetings will now be held on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the Art Room*. Parents are welcome to attend. If you would like to address the board, please send me an e-mail prior to the meeting so I can add you to the agenda. *Meetings are subject to change.
